FFF- June 27, 2008 "Summer Lovin"

First off, all I can think of when reading "Summer Lovin" is the movie Grease, with Olivia Newton John & John Travolta!! Hee hee!!

Second thought, is how much we have been "Lovin" summer around here! We have a cute little giraffe blow up pool that the kids love to play in, and now that the cicadas are gone for the next 7 years, they won't dive bomb the kids or water while they are playing in it! :O)

FFF-Daddy and me!

School is out, and we have been sooooooo busy!!!!!

Yes, school was over May 30th, and so began our busy summer!

Hannah is now officially a 5th grader, and I am blown away that my baby is in her last year of elementary school!!

Here is a picture of her from her Archery Bullseye Club program. Great form, Hannah!

The day after school was out, we went to a picnic given by our local adoption agency! It was a blast, and we loved seeing so many of our good friends, again! Sadly, Caleb and Sofia were sick with a yucky cold, and so they didn't get to go! Hannah, Maya and I went for awhile, while Bus took care of the little sickies!

Then, the first weekend in June, we went to Chicago for a GAFI(Guatemalan Adoption support group) get together! It was a blast, and we had a great time meeting so many of our internet friends!!!

We did so much while we were there, and we started our Saturday off at Navy Pier! It was beauful, and I am so glad that we were able to go there, this time! The picture above is part of the skyline from Navy Pier.

In the afternoon, Bus took Caleb, Sofia, Hannah and our buddy Grant back to the hotel, and a bunch of us walked over to Millineum Park for the kids to play in the fountain! Again, it was a blast, and Maya loved playing in the water!!!

On Sunday, we woke up early, and packed up and headed to the Lincoln Park Zoo! It was a crazy day, with a storm that blew up, causing us to run for shelter!! Here are a few pics from that day...

Favorite Fotos :O) Friday-Pajama Party!!!

This week's topic is Pajama Party, and my kiddos went crazy when I wanted to take their picture in their pajamas!! Ha ha! They were so silly and ran around the room screaming, "Me, Me!" Even Caleb, who hates me to take his picture, shared a new, VERY toothy smile, and then would run to see his picture on the display on the back of the camera!! The only one not phased by the picture taking was Sofia, who sat on the sofa looking at a book. It truly was a fun event-I will have to get my camera out more often when they are wearing their pajamas!! :)

Boy, is this a hard FFF!  I can't pick just one, but to follow the rules, I will!! ;O)

I picked this picture, because this is our little stinker, Sofia!  We just recently celebrated her 1 year anniversary, and it trully feels as though she was here from her very beginning!  We just love the sweet little smiles, and giggles we get from her!  She is a joy, and I want to share just a bit of her sunshine with you this week for my FFF!! Mommy & Me Favorite Foto Friday!

This weeks topic is "Mommy and me", in honor of Mother's Day!  

Never in a million dreams did I imagine that I would be blessed with so many beautiful children that would call me "Mamma", "Mommy", or "Mom".  What an amazing job to be gifted with-so amazing that the Lord would trust me to care for 4 of his little children!!  I love being their Mom!

FFF-I'm back!!!!!!!

Ok, so that's not the topic this week, but, hey, I have had a hard time keeping up with the FFF's since we went topical!! Good news is- Sarah has decided to give us a full week to decide on pictures, and has started posting next weeks idea for FFF with each FFF!!  YIPEE!!! KUDOS to the idea of giving us a week to go through our thousands, and yes, I did say thousands of pictures to share in our FFF!!!  Thanks my friend!!!!! (I am decision challenged!!)

So, onto this weeks FFF-Having a ball!!!

Well-what would we do without our soccer ball???  Maya LOVES to kick this ball around our back yard!!  She is so going to be a great soccer player, and shamy on Bus and I for not already having put her on a soccer league!!  She will run for hours chasing that crazy thing!!

Sofia, on the other hand, couldn't find a ball to go with this lovely toy!!  She carried this bat all over the yard looking for a ball!  I have a picture somewhere-I will have to look for it-where she is in the little orange and yellow car, and there is the bat sitting next to her!! Ha ha!!

Wordless Wednesday

FFF-New house on the block!

We bought the kids a playhouse for Christmas, from Toys R Us, and it has been in the box since we bought it in November! We have been scared to death that we would discover something big was missing, like the roof, or the windows and doors, but the only thing that was missing was a door hinge for the top part of the door. We are going to call the company, and see what happens!

Bus has taken advantage of the warm weather, and put it together! The kids LOVE it, and have played in it the last couple days as he completed the construction on the windows. It turned out beautifully! We are planning to put it on a platform and put a railing up to make it look like it has a front porch with some wood that we already have! It is sitting in our driveway right now, along with a lot of other junk ;o), but we plan to move it into the back yard!
