FFF-"Silly"-Flock of Seagulls style!

Funny that I chose Sofia for this weeks FFF, again.  But, look at this picture, and tell me that it is NOT silly! Ha ha!  Like I said in the title, "Flock of Seagulls" silly!  ;O)

Love this little one's silly personality!  She brightens our day so very often!

(NO-she is NOT potty training-she sit there for 1/2 an hour, and NOTHING!  Put her diaper back on, and instant pee! UGH!!  She is no hurry to rid of the diaper!)

Have a wonderful week!  Enjoy your silly ones! :O)

Somewhere over the rainbow...

Today, a quick storm passed through, with thunderstorm warnings, and tornado watches. I was sitting on my sofa, when it began to hail! It quit very quickly, and here is what I saw out the back door. Sad that there are so many utility poles & lines!

Looks almost like you can see the beginning of the rainbow!

This rainbow was so vibrant and beautiful! There was an actual double rainbow, but by the time I got my camera to take some pictures, the double was gone.

These boots were made for stomping!

So, we get a lot of the kids running around in Sofia's pink rainboots-but, these great looking cowboy boots are Hannah's! Size big! Ha ha! We were all hanging out in the living room, playing the Wii, and here came Sofia with these giant boots on!! Too dog gone cute!! :O)

Can you say "Yee Haw!!?"

And to not be outdone....Maya had to try on the boots to get her picture taken! I think she looks great in them!!

Then there is Caleb, who didn't participate in the boots, but, was happy to try putting a pair of Hannah's summer shoes onto Bob. Can you see the excitement in Bob's face? He was quite happy that I saved him! Ha ha!! (I am pretty sure that even though the shoe is big, it was too small for Bob's giant foot!)
Wish you could of seen Caleb shoving the shoe onto Bob's big foot! Ha ha!

Conversations with Maya

Well, as many of you know, Maya hasn't had the easiest time with the English language. It has been a long hard road, and we are finally REALY beginning to see the difference! I have to give kuddos to her preschool, as she has learned a lot from them! I still have to strain to understand her at times, but, am happy to say that I understand her about 95% of the time now! :O)  She still has a horrible time with the letter s and the sound that it makes, but, she has really soared in language!  She spent 45 minutes, the other day, telling me about a girl in her class, and all the trouble the little girl was getting into!  It was hilarious as she described everything the girl was doing, and the teachers reactions! I have to admit, I really enjoyed hearing her be so expressive about school! I've always said that when she was going to be a big talker, once she learned enough words!

Here are some funny things she has been saying...

*"My heart is really beeping fast" :O)

*She told me that she saw a dog outside running around in the front yard, and when I asked her what color was the dog, she said "pink".  (Hee Hee)

FFF-Melt

Ha Ha, Sarah!  Great topic for FFF this week!  So glad to see all the ice and snow melted/melting away!  Yes, after all the ice we got a BUNCH of snow!  I didn't take any pictures of the snow~sadly, it just wasn't as interesting to me as the ice.  :O|

Here is a picture of the ice covered branches that was playing stubborn, and not melting, while all the other branches were dropping the ice off by the handfulls!

This picture of the ice melting made me think of sticks of rock candy, or beautiful crystals!

In this picture, you can actually see the ice that is in the process of falling off of the branch.  Wish I could have gotten a picture of the drips falling off of the icicles!

See the way the ice is cracking and breaking off of the branches?

Here is a picture of one of the VERY large pine trees that line our driveway. I reached to pull off one of the pine needles, and a huge bunch came away with the icicles.  These trees were destroyed, as the tops of the trees were broken from the weight of all the snow.

Glad to see the ice storm gone.  I have still been seeing a few Michigan utility trucks-thanks Michigan for letting your folks help out!

Please keep the people affected by the ice storm in your thoughts and prayers.  There were 27 people in the state of Kentucky that lost their lives during this storm.  It is so sad to think of heating your home with a gas grill brought in from outside, or candles.
